The Glenshire Community Association
The membership of the Glenshire Community Association consists of all the
home-owning residents of Glenshire. Residents who lease their homes are allowed
to participate in all Association activities except voting. The Association is
a non-profit corporation originally organized by the subdivision developer
under guidelines set forth in the Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws and Deed
Restrictions. As members of the Association, residents have the right to use
all community facilities and the irrevocable responsibility as referenced in
one's property deed to support the Association through the annual maintenance
assessment.
The primary functions of the Association are the ownership and maintenance of
the recreational facilities and the upkeep of the common entryways, esplanades,
and cul-de-sacs. In addition to maintenance expenses, the Association incurs
expenses for utilities, insurance, security, pool maintenance, fee collection,
newsletter, legal fees and capital improvements. Architectural control and
enforcement of the deed restrictions are also prime responsibilities of the
Association.
A nine member Board of Directors oversees the above described activities.
Elections to this Board are held at the Annual Meeting, each year, the 2nd
Tuesday in February. The purpose of this meeting, in addition to electing
directors, is to present proposals on various community subjects to the
residents for their consideration.
The Board also conducts monthly business meetings held at 7:00 PM on the second
Tuesday of each month at the GCA Community Building
8900 Abbeydale Houston Texas
77031. All residents are encouraged to attend the meetings.
